For a 169 pound smartphone Oppo A53 looks decidedly smart. It is just a plastic finish around the back like basically all of the rivals around this price point. It has use gorilla glass 3 action screen protector on the oppo A53. On the back there is the rear mounted fingerprint sensor as usual. It has 6.5 inch display like pretty much every other smartphone released in 2020. There is dual sim slot capacity and a separate tray entirely for the micro sd card on this phone.
It comes with android 10, unfortunately not the fresh new android 11. Very few smartphones actually rock that latest version just yet and of course slathered on the top of that is color os. But it is again version 7.2, not the latest color os 11. Hopefully android 11 and color os version 11 will be coming the oppo a53 soon. It just helps to customize the setting menu a bit more. Nowadays the color os is perfectly customizable. It support dual band wifi as well.

It’s fingerprint is fast enough and no hanging problem here. It’s also has a nice dependable face recognition unlock features. Let’s talk about the display of oppo a53. Now the display of it again pretty standard for a budget blower. It’s a perfectly flat 6.5 inch IPS panel. It’s not a full hd plus resolution display. Unfortunately it is 1600×720 pixel standard hd display. But the good news is Oppo A53 support netflix full hd streaming. Oppo has also included the adaptive 60Hz fresh rate on oppo a53. Surprisingly it has a stereo speaker output and it’s very clear. On the top volume the audio is a bit gritty and grainy.
It’s comes with a snapdragon 460 chipset and from the geekbench results it is fairly basic performance with the adreno 610 gpu. It has 4gigs of ram and seem to load up so fairly fast as well. Now for the battery capacity oppo’s smartphone rarely disappoint in that area and the a53 packs in a 5000mAh which is actually pretty standard. The Oppo a53 supports 18W fast charging and that’s standard for the phones at this price point.
Now let’s finish up with the camera section of oppo a53. There is a triple camera setup on the back of this oppo a53 with a 13megapixel primary lens, 2megapixel micro lens and 2megapixel depth sensor. It’s basically going to a standard budget oppo camera experience phone. Video setting as well it can shoot up to full hd resolution video which is the default set and there is no 4k option sadly. There is also a 8megapixel selfie camera.
